Les anciens entrep\u00f4ts \u00e0 \u00e9pices &#8211; Aspinwall House et Pepper House &#8211; ont referm\u00e9 leurs lourdes portes. Le silence a envahi les lieux qui ont foisonn\u00e9 du bruit des pas des visiteurs et du brouhaha des commentaires confus, essentiellement des \u00e9tudiants de la r\u00e9gion, pendant plus de cent jours.<\/p>\n<div class=\"photo-text\" itemprop=\"image\" itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t<figure>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/asialyst.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/KOCHI-BIENNALE-ASPINWALL.jpg\" class=\"article-image\" title=\"L\u2019entr\u00e9e de la Biennale de Kochi \u00e0 Aspinwall House. (Cr\u00e9dit : Franck Barthelemy.)\t\t<\/figcaption>\n\t<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<p><em>Whorled Explorations<\/em>, le vaste th\u00e8me choisi par le commissaire de la deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e8nement culturel de la communaut\u00e9 artistique indienne, l\u2019artiste Jitish Kallat, a permis au public de voir les \u0153uvres de plus de 90 artistes du monde entier ou presque, des super stars de l\u2019art contemporain comme Mona Hatoum ou Anish Kapoor, \u00e0 l\u2019inconnu de Bangalore, Prasad KV, pour ne citer que trois noms. Il a fallu beaucoup d\u2019efforts pour r\u00e9unir tous ces artistes, encore plus pour faire venir leurs \u0153uvres dans un pays o\u00f9 la douane n\u2019est pas tr\u00e8s accueillante et peut faire montre d\u2019une extr\u00eame cr\u00e9ativit\u00e9 pour ralentir ou interdire l\u2019admission temporaire de telle installation ou de telle s\u00e9rie de photos. Il a fallu d\u00e9placer des montagnes pour relever le d\u00e9fi d\u2019organiser une deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition dans un contexte budg\u00e9taire contraint, de sponsors sceptiques et de <em>crowdfunding<\/em> tardif mal vendu. Pourtant, j\u2019ai not\u00e9 avec plaisir le soutien financier d\u2019une bonne douzaine d\u2019acteurs de la communaut\u00e9 artistique. L\u2019artiste Vivan Sundaram (<em>Platinum Patron<\/em>), toujours \u00e0 l\u2019avant garde des mouvements naissant, s\u2019est d\u2019ailleurs montr\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement g\u00e9n\u00e9reux. Ces sponsors priv\u00e9s t\u00e9moignent bien s\u00fbr d\u2019un int\u00e9r\u00eat sans faille de la communaut\u00e9 artistique dans son ensemble ; au point parfois de tout pardonner et de peu critiquer. Qui veut se souvenir par exemple des fils \u00e9lectriques qui courent partout, des artistes qui ne disposent pas du mat\u00e9riel qu\u2019ils avaient demand\u00e9, des vid\u00e9os qui ne fonctionnent pas, des volontaires qui papillonnent quand les fusibles sautent, etc. La biennale de Kochi est l\u2019occasion de r\u00e9unir la communaut\u00e9, de cr\u00e9er des forums de discussions, de se voir et c\u00e9l\u00e9brer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"photo-text\" itemprop=\"image\" itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t<figure>\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/asialyst.com\/fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/KOCHI-BIENNAL-ART.jpg\" class=\"article-image\" title=\"L\u2019un des nombreux s\u00e9minaires entre artistes, experts et intervenants ext\u00e8rieurs organis\u00e9s pendant la biennale de Kochi. Une biennale est une exp\u00e9rience, pas une exposition de galerie extra-muros. Je crois qu\u2019elle devrait permettre de critiquer le tourbillon de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 plut\u00f4t que de tourbillonner. Je crois qu\u2019elle devrait utiliser l\u2019histoire plut\u00f4t que de la mettre en sc\u00e8ne. J\u2019entends d\u00e9j\u00e0 les adorateurs des artistes-organisateurs que Kochi est en Inde, que ce n\u2019est que la deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9dition, qu\u2019il faut du temps pour apprendre, qu\u2019il faut pardonner les d\u00e9faillances : elle est finalement exotique et amusante cette biennale. Et bien non ! Je voudrais que Kochi se d\u00e9passe, que Kochi soit ambitieuse, dans la forme et dans le fond ! J\u2019aimerais aller \u00e0 Kochi comme je vais \u00e0 Kassel ou \u00e0 Venise, pour explorer des pans d\u2019un monde en perp\u00e9tuel mouvement soci\u00e9tal.
