ouvert ses portes du 22 au 26 octobre \u00e0 la Monnaie de Paris. Elle met cette ann\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;honneur l\u2019Asie de l\u2019Ouest et du Sud.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tApr\u00e8s dix ans l\u2019existence, Asia Now est d\u00e9sormais bien implant\u00e9e. Son objectif est ambitieux : \u00ab <em>ne plus \u00eatre seulement une g\u00e9ographie mais une m\u00e9thodologie, un mouvement.<\/em> \u00bb Elle veut explorer des zones moins couvertes en faisant conna\u00eetre les communaut\u00e9s artistiques de Lahore, Katmandou ou Colombo et valoriser des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes culturels du Moyen-Orient ou de l\u2019Asie de l\u2019Ouest qui s\u2019affirment r\u00e9solument.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tCette ann\u00e9e, elle place aussi au c\u0153ur de sa programmation le mot de \u00ab <em>Grow<\/em> \u00bb (cro\u00eetre), l\u2019art comme un \u00ab <em>terrain fertile pour la transformation, le dialogue et l\u2019\u00e9panouissement collectif.<\/em> \u00bb Derri\u00e8re ces formules, Asia Now est de plus en plus un rendez-vous incontournable pour les amoureux de l\u2019Asie et de l\u2019art contemporain. La galerie est sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans les artistes japonais de l\u2019apr\u00e8s- guerre ainsi que les artistes cor\u00e9ens contemporains.  Elle est pr\u00e9sente \u00e0 Asia Now depuis sa cr\u00e9ation en 2020.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\t\u00ab <em>Nous avons d\u00e9couvert Lee Hyun Joung sur le salon Art Capital et avons ador\u00e9 son travail. Nous lui avons propos\u00e9 de la pr\u00e9senter sur les foires internationales en 2021. \u00c7a a tr\u00e8s bien fonctionn\u00e9 pour elle. Et, \u00e0 partir de ce moment-l\u00e0, elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 rep\u00e9r\u00e9e par d\u2019autres galeries. Sa carri\u00e8re a tr\u00e8s bien d\u00e9marr\u00e9. Elle est entr\u00e9e au mus\u00e9e Cernuschi l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Son travail est tr\u00e8s reconnaissable.  A partir de papier Hanji, qu\u2019elle fait venir de Cor\u00e9e, elle fabrique une sorte de papier m\u00e2ch\u00e9, \u00e0 m\u00eame le sol, tout en asp\u00e9rit\u00e9. Puis elle trace de mani\u00e8re r\u00e9p\u00e9titive avec une encre cor\u00e9enne (muk) et un geste tr\u00e8s s\u00fbr des paysages de nature ou de montagnes ou de mer &#8211; chacun y voit ce qu\u2019il a envie. Le peintre cor\u00e9en Moonassi, qu\u2019elle pr\u00e9sente cette ann\u00e9e \u00e0 Asia Now, ne fait pas partie de la diaspora. \u00ab <em>C\u2019est un artiste que j\u2019ai d\u00e9couvert lors d\u2019un voyage \u00e0 Pusan en Cor\u00e9e. J\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s s\u00e9duite par son travail qui reprend une technique ancienne d\u2019encre cor\u00e9enne (pigments naturels) sur papier cor\u00e9en Hanji. Il pose son encre sur le papier avec un pinceau tr\u00e8s fin et dessine un jeu d\u2019ombres et de lumi\u00e8re, une sorte de clair-obscur. A 45 ans, il est d\u00e9j\u00e0 tr\u00e8s connu en Asie o\u00f9 la jeune g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de collectionneurs l\u2019ach\u00e8te. Il veut aujourd\u2019hui \u00eatre plus connu en Europe et c\u2019est d\u00e9j\u00e0 un succ\u00e8s puisqu\u2019on a vendu certaines de ses \u0153uvres d\u00e8s l\u2019ouverture. Je suis revenue de ce voyage avec des artistes qui ont tous ador\u00e9 Huelgoat, ce lieu tr\u00e8s asiatique avec son chaos granitique, ses for\u00eats profondes et polyphoniques et sa rivi\u00e8re souterraine. Deux ans plus tard, en 1971, il ouvrait sa galerie avenue Matignon, puis \u00e0 Osaka et New York. Dans les ann\u00e9es 2000, son fils a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 prendre la rel\u00e8ve et a ouvert la galerie \u00e0 des artistes japonais, puis chinois. Aujourd\u2019hui, c\u2019est la troisi\u00e8me g\u00e9n\u00e9ration qui arrive \u00e0 Kyoto. La galerie joue un r\u00f4le de pont culturel entre les deux pays. Le peintre japonais de 39 ans, Daiya Yamamoto, que nous pr\u00e9sentons cette ann\u00e9e, a beaucoup voyag\u00e9 en Europe et a \u00e9t\u00e9 marqu\u00e9 par les ma\u00eetres de la nature morte du si\u00e8cle d\u2019or hollandais. De retour au Japon, il a combin\u00e9 cette d\u00e9couverte avec toute la tradition japonaise. Il dessine \u00e0 la mine de plomb et peint \u00e0 l\u2019huile sur panneau de bois. Il reprend le c\u00f4t\u00e9 hyperr\u00e9alisme de certains hollandais avec la simplicit\u00e9 \u00e9pur\u00e9e et d\u00e9licate de l\u2019art japonais. Elle a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 l\u2019art en Allemagne, mais elle avait appris de ses grands-parents l\u2019art traditionnel du feutre tr\u00e8s pratiqu\u00e9 par les nomades tatars. Une fois ses \u00e9tudes termin\u00e9es, elle est retourn\u00e9e en Russie vers ses racines et ses traditions. Elle m\u00e8ne une recherche autour d\u2019une sainte soufi tr\u00e8s populaire dont le sanctuaire est tr\u00e8s fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 par les femmes, et autour duquel toutes sortes de conversations ont lieu aussi bien sur la sexualit\u00e9, que la politique, la gestion de la maison, les r\u00eaves. Bibi Hajra est tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ress\u00e9e par cette dimension. Dans ce dessin que vous avez s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9, Bibi Hajra r\u00e9agit aux inondations qui endeuillent le pays actuellement. Vous y voyez un lit tiss\u00e9 \u00e0 la main comme en font les gens dans les r\u00e9gions rurales. Le dessin repr\u00e9sente une sc\u00e8ne mi r\u00e9elle, mi fantasm\u00e9e.
