Passablement alambiqu\u00e9e, l\u2019intrigue voit Kim, agent secret au service de l\u2019Empire britannique des Indes, victime de fausses accusations dans un sombre complot visant \u00e0 d\u00e9clencher la guerre entre la Russie et l\u2019Angleterre. La preuve du complot et de l\u2019innocence de Kim se trouvant dans une \u00e9pave au fond de la mer, ce dernier a besoin du Nautilus de Nemo pour y acc\u00e9der. Mais le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre commandant du sous-marin, prince indien d\u00e9chu, a ses propres motivations qui n\u2019incluent pas de venir en aide \u00e0 l&rsquo;Empire.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tInspir\u00e9e des romans feuilletons du XIX\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, l\u2019histoire nous entra\u00eene \u00e0 un rythme d\u2019enfer \u00e0 travers toute l\u2019Inde, de Bombay jusqu\u2019\u00e0 l\u2019Himalaya, avec m\u00eame une longue incursion en Sib\u00e9rie. Cette \u0153uvre hors du commun est l\u2019adaptation d\u2019un roman chinois qui chronique la vie d\u2019un village pendant les ann\u00e9es 1990. L\u2019artiste Li Zhiwu a choisi d\u2019utiliser la technique traditionnelle de la peinture sur rouleau, livrant une image continue o\u00f9 s\u2019encha\u00eenent les \u00e9v\u00e9nements r\u00e9sum\u00e9s en bas de l\u2019image. Le rouleau original mesure 70 m\u00e8tres de long. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9duit pour la reproduction en livre, en \u00e9tant ramen\u00e9 \u00e0 une tr\u00e8s respectable longueur d\u2019une vingtaine de m\u00e8tres.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\t\u00c0 d\u00e9faut d\u2019une intrigue unique, on passe en revue les multiples incidents de la vie du village : f\u00eates, jeux de pouvoir, rivalit\u00e9s, adult\u00e8res, difficult\u00e9s de la vie quotidienne, manque d\u2019eau ou d\u2019\u00e9lectricit\u00e9, construction d\u2019un nouveau march\u00e9\u2026 Les injonctions administratives peuvent susciter des drames : alors que des paysans ont os\u00e9 planter des l\u00e9gumes au milieu d\u2019une plantation officielle de for\u00eat, l\u2019amende qui leur est inflig\u00e9e pousse l\u2019un d\u2019eux au suicide. L\u2019artiste se met en sc\u00e8ne dans sa d\u00e9couverte de ce pays qu\u2019elle ne connaissait absolument pas. Elle y rencontre un <em>tanuki <\/em>(esprit de la for\u00eat), un peintre <em>\u00ab\u00a0\u00e0 la recherche de l\u2019\u00e9tat qui permet de peindre un tableau\u00a0\u00bb, <\/em>une vieille dame sourde, une jeune femme aux multiples maris, des artistes amateurs\u2026\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tTout ce petit monde discute beaucoup.
