(Source : <a href=\"http:\/\/cinemaleclub.com\/mobileX1-affiche-prochainement.php?id=3685\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Cinemaleclub<\/a>)        <\/div>\n      <\/figcaption>\n    <\/figure>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"chapo\" itemprop=\"description\">\n\t\tLe 12 ao\u00fbt prochain sortira sur les \u00e9crans fran\u00e7ais le tout premier long m\u00e9trage de la r\u00e9alisatrice chinoise Bai Xue : <em>The Crossing. <\/em>Remarqu\u00e9 d&rsquo;abord au festival international du film de Toronto, puis \u00e0 la Berlinale 2019, le film nous propose de suivre le parcours de Peipei, une adolescente de 16 ans qui pimente sa vie monotone en faisant passer ill\u00e9galement des smartphones \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re entre Hong Kong et Shenzen.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tComme de nombreuses adolescentes, la jeune Peipei r\u00eave de voyages et de libert\u00e9. Un <em>bubble tea <\/em>\u00e0 la main, elle en parle pendant des heures avec sa meilleure amie du lyc\u00e9e. M\u00eame qu&rsquo;elles doivent partir au Japon ensemble pour No\u00ebl ! Yukata color\u00e9s, h\u00f4tel cosy au milieu des sources chaudes et flocons sont pr\u00e9vus au planning ! Ah, que ce doit \u00eatre agr\u00e9able de sentir le froid de la neige sur son nez ! Seulement voil\u00e0, la seule fronti\u00e8re que Peipei n&rsquo;ait jamais pass\u00e9e est celle qui s\u00e9pare le domicile de sa m\u00e8re \u00e0 Shenzhen \u00e0 son lyc\u00e9e de Hong Kong. Et il n&rsquo;y a aucune chance pour que ses parents s\u00e9par\u00e9s acceptent de financer ses r\u00eaves d&rsquo;exotisme. Sa m\u00e8re passe ses \u00e9conomies \u00e0 jouer au mah-jong et son p\u00e8re se d\u00e9bat pour survivre dans l&rsquo;ancienne colonie britannique. C&rsquo;est s\u00fbr, malgr\u00e9 la revente de coques de t\u00e9l\u00e9phones \u00e0 ses camarades et son petit boulot d&rsquo;\u00e9tudiante, Peipei n&rsquo;est pas pr\u00eate d&rsquo;y aller au Japon. Heureusement, le destin s&rsquo;en m\u00eale ! Un jeune homme crois\u00e9 en soir\u00e9e la charge de passer en douce deux iPhones interdits en Chine continentale. C&rsquo;est risqu\u00e9, mais qui soup\u00e7onnerait une lyc\u00e9enne de contrebande ? Et puis ce n&rsquo;est pas bien compliqu\u00e9. Il lui suffit de traverser la douane avec son sac de cours sur les \u00e9paules et de livrer les appareils. Bient\u00f4t le Japon ?\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<h2>Un film de genre pr\u00e9par\u00e9 comme un documentaire<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\t\u00c0 l&rsquo;origine, la r\u00e9alisatrice voulait \u00e9crire un film au sujet d&rsquo;\u00e9coliers qui traversent la fronti\u00e8re, passant du village qu&rsquo;\u00e9tait encore Shenzhen dans les ann\u00e9es 1990 \u00e0 la cit\u00e9 bouillonnante qu&rsquo;\u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 Hong Kong. Toutefois, son projet bascule lorsqu&rsquo;elle apprend que des adolescentes font passer des produits ill\u00e9gaux \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re malgr\u00e9 le risque de se faire emprisonner et Bai Xue de se passionner pour ces jeunes filles dans lesquelles elle se reconna\u00eet un peu. D\u00e8s lors, elle quitte P\u00e9kin o\u00f9 elle poursuit ses \u00e9tudes de cin\u00e9ma et retourne \u00e0 Shenzhen o\u00f9 elle a grandi. L\u00e0, elle veut tout savoir sur le sujet et multiplie les rencontres avec des jeunes passeuses avec lesquelles elle se lie d&rsquo;amiti\u00e9 mais aussi avec des revendeurs, des douaniers. Vivant entre deux villes, entre deux syst\u00e8mes, ces adolescentes ont une identit\u00e9 double et complexe, ni totalement hongkongaises, ni seulement chinoises du continent, de quoi nourrir son personnage principal : Peipei \u00e9tait n\u00e9e.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tAvec une telle pr\u00e9paration et un ancrage tr\u00e8s fort \u00e0 la r\u00e9gion servant de d\u00e9cors, on aurait pu s&rsquo;attendre \u00e0 ce que Bai Xue signe un drame sociologique fr\u00f4lant le reportage. Cependant, la jeune r\u00e9alisatrice pr\u00e9f\u00e8re lorgner vers le cin\u00e9ma de genre et s&rsquo;inspirer des films de mafieux et du thriller dont elle reprend certains codes qui viennent colorer un roman d&rsquo;apprentissage enti\u00e8rement focalis\u00e9 sur son h\u00e9ro\u00efne. \u00c0 l&rsquo;instar du jeune Holden Caufield de Sallinger dans <em>L&rsquo;Attrape-Coeur, <\/em>la jeune Peipei n&rsquo;est pas une victime na\u00efve au destin pr\u00e9d\u00e9termin\u00e9e par la naissance mais une jeune fille sans histoires qui, en pleine conscience et en toute ind\u00e9pendance, embrasse le frisson du d\u00e9lit et de la libert\u00e9.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<h2>Malin plaisir \u00e0 torturer le spectateur<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tPour ce qui est du frisson, le spectateur aussi en re\u00e7oit son lot puisque la r\u00e9alisatrice Bai Xue prend un malin plaisir \u00e0 le torturer. Combien de fois arr\u00eatons-nous de respirer \u00e0 l&rsquo;id\u00e9e que le pire puisse arriver au visage poupin de Peipei qu&rsquo;une cam\u00e9ra intime port\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9paule rend tellement palpable ? C&rsquo;est que Bai Xue conna\u00eet son art et ma\u00eetrise parfaitement les codes du cin\u00e9ma \u00e0 suspense qu&rsquo;elle utilise pour cr\u00e9er des situations tr\u00e8s classiques pour le spectateur dont elle aime bousculer les attentes. D&rsquo;ailleurs son h\u00e9ro\u00efne n&rsquo;est jamais telle qu&rsquo;on se l&rsquo;imagine.
