Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en avant-premi\u00e8re au 26\u00e8me Festival International des Cin\u00e9mas d&rsquo;Asie de Vesoul.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\t<em>\u00ab\u00a0Il \u00e9tait une fois un homme sombre, sombre, qui vivait dans un royaume sombre, sombre. Il voulait voir la lumi\u00e8re sans y parvenir. Question : comment peut-il voir la lumi\u00e8re alors qu&rsquo;il est dans l&rsquo;obscurit\u00e9 ? R\u00e9ponse : il doit dispara\u00eetre.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> C&rsquo;est bien ce qui se passe, tout au long du film : Bekzat l&rsquo;antih\u00e9ros dispara\u00eet du cadre dans les travellings, dans un fondu au blanc sur un paysage enneig\u00e9, enseveli sous les corps lors des sc\u00e8nes de lutte. Son combat : quitter l&rsquo;ombre pour aller vers la lumi\u00e8re, arriver m\u00eame \u00e0 envisager la lumi\u00e8re &#8211; celle de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 du meurtre -, est \u00e0 chaque plan recommenc\u00e9. D&rsquo;autant que les steppes kazakhes s&rsquo;y pr\u00eatent bien : l&rsquo;ombre est celle de la sc\u00e8ne de crime puis du commissariat des ripoux, la lumi\u00e8re celle des landes enneig\u00e9es.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<h2>Un film policier mont\u00e9 \u00e0 rebours<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tEntre les deux, il y a un champ de ma\u00efs : le territoire de l&rsquo;innocence. C&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que tout commence, avec un enfant et deux adultes, un peu simplets, qui jouent \u00e0 colin-maillard. L&rsquo;idiot aux yeux band\u00e9s arrive \u00e0 la lisi\u00e8re du champ, o\u00f9 un homme l&rsquo;attend. Lui porte un costume sombre et une mallette \u00e0 la main. Il offre de l&rsquo;argent et un peu de chocolat contre quelques gouttes de sperme dans un flacon. Quand on le voit se pencher sur un (tr\u00e8s) petit cadavre, on comprend \u00e0 quoi on a affaire : un film policier \u00e0 l&rsquo;envers. La police truque la sc\u00e8ne de crime, fabrique le coupable et cache le tueur.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tArrive un jeune inspecteur, en musique et chapeau de cow-boy : c&rsquo;est Bekzat. Il est vite rabrou\u00e9 par les vieux ripoux, laisse tomber la musique et le chapeau. A peine n\u00e9, notre espoir s&rsquo;effrite d\u00e9j\u00e0 : Bekzat n&rsquo;est pas un h\u00e9ros. L&rsquo;enfant tu\u00e9 ne l&rsquo;int\u00e9resse pas ; d&rsquo;ailleurs, il examine le corps en mangeant des <em>ramen. <\/em>On le voit bient\u00f4t suivre les ordres d&rsquo;une hi\u00e9rarchie corrompue, r\u00e9\u00e9crire les rapports et torturer les suspects. Il re\u00e7oit un pot-de-vin pour tuer l&rsquo;idiot, que tout d\u00e9signe comme le coupable : il ob\u00e9it sans broncher. Ce n&rsquo;est apr\u00e8s tout, reconna\u00eetra-t-il plus tard, que le 12\u00e8me \u00ab\u00a0suicide\u00a0\u00bb qui survient sous sa garde.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tC&rsquo;est l\u00e0 que la m\u00e9canique s&rsquo;enraye. Alors que Bekzat tra\u00eene l&rsquo;idiot dehors pour le \u00ab\u00a0pendre\u00a0\u00bb, arrive une journaliste, Ariana. Une femme de la ville, donc, jeune et jolie de surcro\u00eet, envoy\u00e9e par <em>\u00ab\u00a0le Minist\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> pour assister \u00e0 l&rsquo;enqu\u00eate. \u00ab\u00a0En haut\u00a0\u00bb, on n&rsquo;est pas dupe : quatre enfants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9s en quelques mois, trois faux coupables sont morts pendant leur garde \u00e0 vue. Sa pr\u00e9sence est encombrante : devant elle, impossible de tuer l&rsquo;idiot. Commence une enqu\u00eate \u00e0 rebours, men\u00e9e conjointement par Bekzat et Ariana : l&rsquo;une tente de d\u00e9couvrir la v\u00e9rit\u00e9, l&rsquo;autre de la cacher. Il s&rsquo;applique \u00e0 d\u00e9truire toute les preuves, distribue les taloches et les pots-de-vin pour tenir le coup jusqu&rsquo;au d\u00e9part de la journaliste. Elle veille sur l&rsquo;idiot, qu&rsquo;elle insiste pour emmener partout, et pousse m\u00eame le culot jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 jouer avec. Probl\u00e8me : pour Bekzat, le futur mort devient attachant. Le spectacle de l&rsquo;innocence finit par le troubler. Et lui faire comprendre que cette fois, une autre voie est possible.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<h2>\u00ab\u00a0Il faut de la crainte dans un gouvernement despotique\u00a0\u00bb<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tThriller psychologique, <em>A Dark, Dark Man<\/em> est aussi un film politique. Conscient sans doute de la raret\u00e9 des productions kazakhstanaises, Adilkhan Yerzhanov instille dans ses dialogues des informations &#8211; peu reluisantes &#8211; sur son pays d&rsquo;attache. L&rsquo;ex-R\u00e9publique sovi\u00e9tique semble avoir gard\u00e9 de l&rsquo;URSS l&rsquo;amour des formulaires bien remplis et d&rsquo;une hi\u00e9rarchie strictement respect\u00e9e, quoique corrompue. Les violences polici\u00e8res montr\u00e9es dans le film sont monnaie courante, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amnesty.org\/fr\/latest\/news\/2016\/03\/kazakhstan-torture-impunity\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">relevait Amnesty International en 2016<\/a>, et la torture g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e au sein du syst\u00e8me judiciaire.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tMais c&rsquo;est une phrase d&rsquo;un penseur fran\u00e7ais, Montesquieu, qui r\u00e9sonne en \u00e9cho dans la derni\u00e8re partie du film : <em>\u00ab\u00a0Il faut de la crainte dans un gouvernement despotique ; la vertu n&rsquo;y est point n\u00e9cessaire et l&rsquo;honneur y serait dangereux.\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> C&rsquo;est bien s\u00fbr la journaliste bourgeoise, Ariana, qui la cite &#8211; et ne r\u00e9colte pour sa peine qu&rsquo;un coup de poing dans le visage. Mais c&rsquo;est \u00e0 Bezkat qu&rsquo;elle \u00e9tait destin\u00e9e. Faire le choix de l&rsquo;honneur, pour ce petit flic des steppes, c&rsquo;est prendre \u00e0 rebours le syst\u00e8me corrompu dans lequel il a toujours v\u00e9cu. C&rsquo;est cr\u00e9er le chaos, dans une machine d&rsquo;oppression bien huil\u00e9e.
