Du 12 au 17 f\u00e9vrier au Grand Rex \u00e0 Paris, la sixi\u00e8me \u00e9dition du Festival du Film d&rsquo;Asie du Sud (FFAST) propose une dizaine de films d&rsquo;Inde, du Pakistan, du Bangladesh et du N\u00e9pal. Des productions ind\u00e9pendantes qui refl\u00e8tent les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s sociales de la r\u00e9gion.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"chapo\" itemprop=\"description\">\n\t\t<em>Double-cliquez sur les photos pour les visualiser en plein \u00e9cran.<\/em>\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tPr\u00e9senter aux cin\u00e9philes fran\u00e7ais un cin\u00e9ma qu&rsquo;ils ont rarement l&rsquo;occasion de voir, en prise directe sur les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s de l&rsquo;Inde et des pays avoisinants, c&rsquo;est la raison d\u2019\u00eatre de FFAST. La cr\u00e9ation de ce festival il y a six ans de cela est venue d&rsquo;une constatation : le public en France ne conna\u00eet le plus souvent du cin\u00e9ma indien que les films Bollywood et les clich\u00e9s qui s&rsquo;y attachent : m\u00e9los aussi invraisemblables qu&rsquo;interminables, truff\u00e9s de chants et de danses. Or, souligne Floriane Zaslavsky, co-coordinatrice de la programmation, <em>\u00ab\u00a0il existe aussi toute une production ind\u00e9pendante qui casse les clich\u00e9s de Bollywood\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> et qui <em>\u00ab\u00a0refl\u00e8te les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s sociales\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> de la r\u00e9gion. De fait, le cin\u00e9ma indien voit sortir depuis quelques ann\u00e9es de plus en plus de films r\u00e9alis\u00e9s selon des formats beaucoup plus proches du cin\u00e9ma occidental. Fruit d&rsquo;une d\u00e9marche originale, <em>Azmaish<\/em> r\u00e9sulte de la collaboration de deux femmes, la r\u00e9alisatrice pakistanaise Sabiha Sumar et l&rsquo;actrice indienne Kalki Koechlin. Toutes deux ont sillonn\u00e9 ces pays \u00ab\u00a0fr\u00e8res ennemis\u00a0\u00bb r\u00e9sultant de la Partition de 1947. Dans une sorte de <em>road trip,<\/em> elles multiplient les rencontres avec des interlocuteurs de toutes sortes, villageois comme leaders politiques, pour s&rsquo;interroger sur les destins crois\u00e9s de leurs deux nations. Une d\u00e9marche ambitieuse mais qui <em>\u00ab\u00a0ne vise pas \u00e0 d\u00e9fendre une th\u00e8se politique pr\u00e9cise, le film a vocation \u00e0 interroger\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> souligne Floriane Zaslavsky. La projection, le mardi 12 f\u00e9vrier, aura lieu en pr\u00e9sence des deux co-r\u00e9alisatrices.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\t<div class=\"text\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">\n\t\tFFAST donnera l&rsquo;occasion de voir un film d&rsquo;un pays peu connu pour sa production cin\u00e9matographique : le Bangladesh. <em>Komola Rocket<\/em> met en sc\u00e8ne un groupe de personnages issus de toutes les couches de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, bloqu\u00e9s dans un bateau \u00e9chou\u00e9 sur un banc de sable. Un sc\u00e9nario o\u00f9 l&rsquo;on n&rsquo;aura gu\u00e8re de mal \u00e0 reconna\u00eetre une m\u00e9taphore d&rsquo;un pays en proie \u00e0 de multiples crises. Autre film montrant qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y a pas de cloison \u00e9tanche entre le cin\u00e9ma d&rsquo;auteurs et les grandes machines commerciales de Bollywood : <em>Round Figure<\/em> met en sc\u00e8ne un acteur vieillissant qui, d\u00e9couvrant qu&rsquo;il a jou\u00e9 dans 499 films, entreprend d&rsquo;en faire un 500\u00e8me.
